At Go Plast 2007 (Angers, 12 - 15 June, stand no. C15) Distrupol will launch its colour compounding service in the French market. Distrupol Colour is dedicated to supplying consistently high quality and tight colour tolerance engineering thermoplastic materials across Europe. The latest computerised matching equipment and a dedicated Colour Laboratory are utilized for quick and efficient colour development, with production quantities starting from as little as 25 kilograms.

In addition to discovering Distrupol’s world of colours, visitors to the show are invited to pick up the first copies of the French-language Keycards. These Keycards provide a wealth of information on a specific polymer, covering their properties, typical applications and processing characteristics. Materials covered range from Acrystex® from ChiMei to Cabelec® electric conductive compounds from Cabot, and many more.

Another highlight of the Distrupol exhibit is the company’s PIC (Product Information Centre), a powerful web based support tool, which has been created specifically to give designers and material specifiers access to a searchable technical database. This database covers more than 3,000 polymer grades in Distrupol’s portfolio. Of key importance, PIC allows the user to compare grades in the same format, side by side on-screen, making it a lot easier compared to paper-based and many other screen-based systems.

Distrupol’s presence at Go Plast further reflects the breadth of its portfolio of material solutions. Recent extensions include the Aquamid AR100 and AQL34 technical polymers from Aquafil. Aquamid AR100 is a highly-transparent amorphous polyamide with very low oxygen and carbon-dioxide permeability. It features high surface hardness, good abrasion and scratch resistance, and chemical resistance. AQL34 is a high viscosity material, which is characterised by its high stiffness and impact strength, also at relatively low temperatures.

Go Plast 2007, which is held every three years, expects to attract more than 5,500 visitors to this third edition of the show. The event brings together the entire French polymer sector, covering everything from materials and auxiliaries to machinery and equipment. Further information on the show, including opening hours, can be found at: www.go-plast.com.
