Avery® 800 Premium Cast Films: product upgrade brings added handling and application features

Users of Avery® 800 Premium Cast Films can look forward to additional functional performance features in these self-adhesive films in response to market requirements. According to Product Manager Carlo Kölker, Avery Dennison Graphics and Reflective Products: 'Our Avery® 800 series films are already well established in the marketplace and known for their good life expectancy, dimensional stability, and high quality graphics. Now we have added new features that improve all-round performance -- especially in terms of use in low temperatures, overall adhesion levels, and applications on glass.'

Continuing innovation
Avery® 800 Premium Cast Films are formulated for demanding applications requiring up to ten years' durability: vehicle graphics, retail signage, decorative graphics, outdoor advertising, and architectural signage. They are available from Avery Graphics distributors throughout Europe in 81 standard colours, including high gloss, matt and metallic qualities, plus the option of custom colour matches. Carlo Kölker continues: 'As part of our ongoing programme of innovation, we wanted to give customers -- particularly smaller signmakers who keep the products as their standard stock material -- the best possible applied performance and handling characteristics. This product upgrade certainly does that.'

Broader adhesive functionality
'Perhaps the most important feature of the upgrade', he adds, ' is in the adhesion characteristics of the films. Critically, low temperature performance is improved. Initial tack is higher, as are adhesion build-up and final bond. Together, these factors mean improved efficiency in the sign shop, and even better long-term adhesion over corrugations and curves. What's more, the films' higher adhesion levels on glass now ensure really smooth application to this challenging substrate.'

The new adhesive formulation on Avery® 800 Premium Cast Films also facilitates clean, easy removal at the end of a campaign.
