Loomis AB invests in mobile technology – chooses mobility specialist Consafe Logistics as supplier

Loomis AB (previously Securitas cash handling) has signed an agreement with Consafe Logistics for delivery of hand-held computers and mobile printers for its cash handling business in Europe. The order is worth around 20 MSEK over 2 years. Consafe Logistics is the largest supplier of mobile business solutions in the Nordic countries. This agreement further strengthens its position on the market.

Loomis offers a wide range of cash handling solutions. The services, aimed mainly at banks, retail chain stores, shops and other commercial businesses, offer customers secure and efficient handling of all physical cash flows in their business.

We have completed similar solutions for several other customers and know what is required to ensure that everything works smoothly for our customers. The order comprises Motorola’s handheld MC70 computer together with Zebra’s Mz220 / Rw220 Mobile printers. 1100 units in total will be delivered during a 2 year period with an option for a further 500 units. Symbol’s MSP (Mobility Service Platform is also included to ensure the units are monitored and updated effectively.

Old equipment needs to be replaced in order to satisfy increased demand for real-time communication with co-workers in the field. The agreement with Consafe Logistics, gives Loomis an ultra-modern platform for their mobile system. The company has prepared the units for managing future requirements from the start.
