Borealis to showcase plastic packaging solutions at Plastpol
Borealis, a leading supplier of innovative, value creating plastics solutions, will exhibit its latest innovations to visitors of Plastpol, from May 29 – June 1 in Kielce, Poland (Trade Fairs Conference Centre, Hall D). Visitors will be able to experience the benefits Borealis’ polyolefins bring to a wide range of applications especially in automotive and advanced packaging.
The Polish market for rigid and flexible plastic packaging offers considerable growth opportunities driven by economic development, consumer trends towards attractive packaging and technological developments. In fact, Poland boasts an annual growth of 11% in plastics consumption and a demand for polyolefins in excess of 1 million tonnes in 2006.
Polish customers can benefit from the proximity of a new Borstar® polyethylene plant with capacity of 350,000 tonnes per year and a recently expanded Borstar® polypropylene plant of 300,000 tonnes per year in Schwechat, Austria.
Borealis will also feature solutions for the automotive industry that raise productivity while improving impact, scratch resistance and appearance of specific exterior and interior components.
A complete range of advanced packaging solutions
Advanced Packaging solutions that will be exhibited on the stand include BorFormTM; a unique innovation for vacuum-formed packaging developed in cooperation with converter Tommen Gram; BorpactTM for transparent ice-cream packaging; the wide range of BormedTM polyolefins for healthcare applications; the high quality BoreceneTM film for attractive flexible food and consumer packaging; and the latest innovation BorclearTM for high clarity food film.
